ROUTINE TIME LIMIT – Maximum time limit for an ALL STARS CHEER TEAM routine is 2-1/2 minutes, may be all music. Maximum time limit for a SCHOOL CHEER TEAM is 2-1/2 minutes (musical portion must not exceed 1 minute 30 seconds and must include a cheer/chant section). Maximum time limit for a YOUTH/REC CHEER TEAM routine is 3 minutes (may be all music, we strongly suggest a cheer/chant section). Timing begins when your team starts a cheer, music, or motions after they are officially announced and have taken the floor. No organized spirit or tumbling entrances. Timing will end with the last organized word, note of music, or motion by the team. Teams must exit the performance area immediately following the routine.

COMPETITION FLOOR – Cheer teams will perform on a 54’ x 42’ Spring Floor/Cheer Mat.

EXCEPTION for the FLORIDA INVITATIONAL: Cheer teams will perform on a 54’ x 42’ Cheer Mat.

Dance Teams:

ROUTINE TIME LIMIT – Maximum time limit for a YOUTH/REC DANCE TEAM and a SCHOOL DANCE TEAM routine is 2 minutes and 30 seconds (2:30). Maximum time limit for an ALLSTAR DANCE TEAM or STUDIO DANCE TEAM is 2 minutes 15 seconds (2:15).

COMPETITION FLOOR – Dance teams will perform on a 54’ x 42’ Spring Floor/Cheer Mat.

EXCEPTION for the FLORIDA INVITATIONAL: Dance teams will perform on a 54’ x 42’ Cheer Mat.

INJURIES – If an athlete is injured on the practice mat or the performance floor, the team will be given up to 30 minutes or until right before the awards ceremony, whichever comes first, in order to regroup before they are required to perform. **In the event of a withdrawal, registration fees and deposits will not be returned.

CODE OF CONDUCT – All Coaches are required to sign a Code of Conduct. CCE reserves the right to assess a 10-point penalty for un-sportsmanlike or unsafe conduct by a coach, competitor or parent. Let us teach our athletes to be good sports.

PROOF OF AGE/GRADE – The majority of ages/grades of participants on a team will determine the age/grade division in which the team competes. If an age is protested, coaches will be required to provide documentation to prove athlete's age(birth certificate or passport). If the protest warrants a division change, the team will be moved into the correct division. If a participant is found to be performing illegally after the competition, all titles will be revoked from the team and awards will be adjusted accordingly.

INQUIRY – Inquiries are ONLY accepted, by a coach and AFTER the conclusion of the Competition. An inquiry includes but is not limited to a question or concern involving your team’s placement and what will result in your team gaining improvement. Response time will depend on each individual situation and on the availability of the appropriate CCE staff member. Each inquiry filed will incur no fee per inquiry per competition.

MUSIC – Must bring 2 quality recorded CDs. You must provide a representative to run music at the music station. Music systems are different; therefore, coaches are strongly advised to create routines that finish at least 5 seconds before the maximum time limit in order to avoid time limit penalties. If a mistake is made because of CCE personnel or sound system failure, the team will be allowed to perform again from the point in the routine where the mistake was made.
